Free Comic Book Day 2007-Yancy Street Comics

Wow! That's all we at Yancy Street Comics can say about this awesome day! This FCBD marks our fourth year participating, and each year just keeps on getting bigger and better. After bombarding the local press with press release after press release, and having Spider-Man himself give away over 1,500 free Spider-Man comics at two local theaters, as well as thousands of fliers at schools, video stores, laser tag centers, toy stores, and video game stores, we had our best turnout yet. We had the honor of meeting over a thousand customers, and (re)introduce many of them to the joy of comic books. As an added incentive, we had some of the greatest comic creators in the industry signing and sketching for the crowd. This year included Mark Texeira, Greg Land, Jim Cheung, Mike Perkins, Morry Hollowell, Don Hillsman, Jim Fern, and Mike Foss. It was a blast, and well worth the effort.
