Well, it just gets better and better every year, even with the clouds and rain. About 500 people graced our store to take part in the day long festivity which included 8 local artists doing free sketches, a bar-b-que and raffels for signed comics, a subscription to DC's "52" (a book a week for a year, good timing DC) and an all expenses paid trip to this year's Comic Con in San Diego (there were a lot of ballots in that box)!

Oh yeah, we gave away free comics too!

We were so fortunate to have plenty of volunteers to help all the new visitors to our store find just the right books and thankful for all of the artists that showed up to draw, some even driving nearly 3 hours from Calgary to participate! Other volunteers dressed up to help make the kids smile and I, of course, donned the Captain Marvel attire again and passed out free comics on the street to those passing by.

My only problem now is how do I top it next year! Wait and see!
